Top 5 must-haves for every jewelry box

Choosing the right accessories can be time consuming. If you are looking for flexibility in your collection, start with these 5 staple pieces and watch as they bring your attire to life! I look at it like this... Attire is the photo; however, the accessories are the frame!

1. Earrings

A pair of earrings is a fashion must-have and they come in an array of styles and sizes. Whether you opt for a classic stud or a bold hoop a set of earrings set the tone. To get your jewelry box started, I recommend a classic stud earring or a dainty hoop.

Why a classic stud earring or a dainty hoop? There are multiple factors (face shape, hairstyle, neckline, etc.) that go into choosing an earring. For time's sake, I'll keep it simple. Both a classic stud earring and dainty hoop earring can be worn in almost any scenario.

2. Necklace

Worn around the neck, a necklace can be simple or make a statement! Choosing the right necklace can enhance the face and accentuate the body. All necklaces are not created equally as they come in a wide variety of lengths, styles, and colors. To get you started I recommend a layering set of necklaces and a long string of faux pearls.

3. Bracelet

Worn around the wrist, a bracelet highlights your arms, fingers, and hands. Talk with your hands? I understand... A bracelet will make them that much more attentive to the conversation. I recommend a bold cuff or a set of stackable pieces.

4. Watch

Yet another piece worn around the wrist; just yet, still necessary! Watches are not only good for keeping time (we have our phones for that), they also have the ability to add some extra flare to your arms, fingers, and hands. Depending on your attire, a watch can be worn on its own or layered with your bracelet(s)! I recommend a sleek round face with a solid neutral (black, brown, beige) band.

5. Ring

A circular band worn around your finger, a ring brightens up your hands, fingers, and nails. A well manicured hand and a wisely chosen ring has the ability to do a thing! Ask all the newly engaged ladies. I recommend a set of stackable rings. You get the best of both worlds...

• Be bold and brazen: stack them on one finger or spread them out on all of your fingers.

• Be stylish and sleek: choose one or two to wear on a single hand.
